Our financing philosophy is to utilize growth capital, preferring to generate attractive returns through earnings growth and expanding the valuation multiple through building larger, more valuable enterprises with improved operations.

Mark Sawyer

Principal

Mark is the founder and principal of White Field Capital Partners. Previously, Mark was a founding member of Sheridan Legacy Group, a $150 million lower-middle market buyout firm. Mark was also Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer at Rising Tide, an alternative asset management company based in Europe. Mark has over 20 years of operations experience within various industries, including healthcare and financial services. He has served as an advisory board member for two international private equity funds, as well as multiple operating companies within the United States.

Mark earned a bachelor’s degree with honors in Accounting from Eastern Michigan University and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame, Mendoza College of Business.

mark sawyer

Brandon Smith

Partner

Brandon is a partner at White Field Capital Partners. He has founded and grown several businesses over the past 16 years, successfully exiting three of them through buyout acquisition. Brandon was the co-founder and Chief Financial Officer of JEMSU™, a national digital marketing firm based in Denver, Colorado. Brandon also has several years of experience in law enforcement operations and training.

He received his bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Colorado State University with an emphasis in marketing and an MBA from Syracuse University, Whitman School of Management.

Brian Sawyer

Partner

Brian is a partner at White Field Capital Partners. Brian co-founded a successful healthcare business valued over $200 million and brings extensive industry experience in operations, supplier management, and data analytics. Trained in 6σ and lean methodologies, Brian focused on process, people and technologies, allowing organizations to streamline work flow efficiency.

Brian earned his master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from Brigham Young University, Marriott School of Management.

Eddie Norton

Director

Eddie is an associate director at White Field Capital Partners. He has over 10 years of experience in finance and accounting and is recognized as a leader in both corporate and community settings. Eddie was a controller for CR Bard, one of the largest medical device manufacturers in the world. Eddie’s experience also includes time in public accounting where he worked for many SEC regulated clients and assisted with IPOs, quarterly and annual reporting, and many other regulated filing requirements. Eddie has also implemented fundraising ventures for multiple start-up ventures in the US and South America.

Eddie earned his bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Economics from Utah State University and completed his master’s degree in Accounting at the University of Utah.
